The last couple of days I've had an itch to keep my hands busy. So I started bringing my creativity back to life. I also reintroduced myself to journaling. Something I have done my whole life but for some reason when life gets hard, writing gets even harder. I loathe having to be raw and real with myself when I'm at a low point. But I've pushed writing back into my life so you'll probably see a lot of journaling in my blog! I also gained a new found love for wood burning! I'm sad I didn't try this sooner! I don't know if I have the confidence in my pieces enough to sell them yet, but maybe some time in the future!
Honestly these last 2 years of marriage have been so intense! Moving states and into our own place, him deploying, building myself a career, then him coming back and figuring out how to live together again.. it's been a true test of love. But I couldn't imagine conquering each test with anyone else! These last two years have flown by and I can't wait to make it to our 50th anniversary! Marriage is such a beautiful thing. And I'm so glad I get to experience it so young. We get to watch and help each other grow into the adults we're going to be. It's amazing. God has blessed me with such a great husband. ❤️
My heart has been craving to travel more than ever lately. So I last minute took a short trip took St. George, Utah to see a friend I hadn't seen in soo long! And I had never been to Utah, so why not?! I flew in to Las Vegas airport straight after working 8 hours on a friday, and landed at about midnight! We got to St. George at about 3am! So we went to bed right away.
The next day (saturday) we woke up and went to this super cute cafe called Xetava! It's pretty healthy and has the cutest outdoor seating! Then we headed to Zion National Park. Which blew my mind. The hike was barely anything and it was seriously gorgeous being up there! I couldn't take enough photos. It was so insane! And then we pretty much just hung out the rest of the day.
On Sunday I was flying home that night, so we relaxed and just watched Zootopia and then drove to Vegas to get dinner before my flight! Although I was only in Utah for 1 full day. It was beautiful and I will definitely be going back to explore more!
